This onsite Technical Support Specialist role focuses on delivering reliable technical assistance for computer systems, hardware, and software, including diagnosing issues, isolating problems, and implementing effective solutions. Responsibilities
- Deploy and install new hardware and software.
- Recommend improvements to computer systems to enhance performance and reliability.
- Install and configure computer system components such as CPU, memory, motherboard, and peripherals, individually or in combination.
- Troubleshoot hardware devices (computers, printers, etc.) and software for anomalies.
- Assist users in resolving computer related problems, including inoperative hardware or software.
- Provide training to staff on the use of new software and hardware.
- Maintain up-to-date technical journals or manuals and attend vendor seminars on new hardware and software.
- Maintain inventories of computer hardware and software and coordinate asset management with finance.
- Coordinate cable installations, new hubs/switches, and the deployment of new computers for additional workstations.
- Assist with adding, modifying, and deleting users in the network operating system.
- Support the company phone system and assist with configuring IP Phone Services and the Corporate Directory.
- Assist with network support and the wireless environment for the company wide network.
- Support Wi-Fi setup on laptops, RF devices, and desktops.
- Assist with VPN user support across the company network and with VPN setup on laptops and user accounts.
Requirements
- High School diploma and/or technical degree/certification.
- Minimum of four years of IT related work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities to meet response deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven experience with computer systems (desktops/laptops), printers, mobile devices, and other technical products.
- Experience with antivirus solutions, Exchange, LAN environments, and Active Directory.
- Experience with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $23.00 - $30.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on market differences and factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, location, and work schedule.
