Technical Support and New Customer Development Technician

PICS Inventory Specialists in Holly, Michigan is seeking a Technical Support and New Customer Development Technician to design and support custom data collection programs for field staff and retailers. This onsite role involves coordinating with programmers and client IT teams to define data requirements and ensure reliable data delivery, with after hours support as needed. The position sits at the intersection of technical support, data workflow design, and customer onboarding, helping retailers and field teams capture inventory information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide after hours on-call support on a rotating weekly schedule once training is complete.
• Analyze data files to craft customer specific requests for the programming staff.
• Collaborate with field staff to establish data capture requirements for inventory across diverse retail locations.
• Coordinate with retailers' corporate IT teams to discuss data file formats and structures.
• Work additional hours during peak business cycles to meet deadlines.
• Perform quality control by thoroughly testing programs to ensure all requirements are satisfied.
• Set up, configure, and monitor automated processes to receive data from customers, prepare inventory files, and deliver data electronically.
• Support field staff in using proprietary software and hardware, including after normal business hours support.

• Salary: USD 48,000 – 52,000 per year
