Technical Support Representative
Job Description
Join a part-time onsite team providing technical support for event staff and guests before and during performances.
Responsibilities
- Provide general technical assistance to front-of-house event staff and other users at events
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Box office and point of sale computers and printers
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ticket scanners
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to digital signage
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wireless networks
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to two-way radios
- Deploy and maintain Windows workstations, including software and hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Assist users with Microsoft Office applications and other enterprise software
- Troubleshoot issues with multi-function devices (scan/copy/print), printers, and phones
- Confirm proper functioning and availability of technical equipment and report malfunctioning equipment
- Maintain and update documentation on proper procedures for use and maintenance of technical equipment
- Assist other IT staff with tasks and projects as needed (Zoom setup, Teams)
Requirements
- GED or equivalent, plus training and/or hands-on experience sufficient to perform essential job functions
- Demonstrated general hardware and software troubleshooting knowledge, including Windows workstations and/or iOS or Android devices
- Experience with helpdesk software or workflow processes
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to collaborate with others to identify and solve issues onsite with guests
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for troubleshooting and for presenting ideas and solutions clearly
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with excellent attention to detail
Work Schedule
- Dependent on event schedules; typically 4–10pm
- Some weekend morning/afternoons
