Job Description

Amazon Operations facilities depend on IT systems that stay reliable across multiple sites, and this role helps keep those environments running. As an IT Support Associate II (OTS), you will support a defined geographic area by diagnosing and resolving technical issues across several IT disciplines, while also working with both onsite and remote customers.

What you’ll do

Allocate, maintain, and troubleshoot IT equipment used in Amazon Operations facilities.
Handle support requests and follow established procedures across the network.
Assist with training new hires.
Continue learning new technologies to support evolving environments.
Support customers across multiple buildings in the area, plus remote customers.
Travel within your local or regional area to support customers.

Basic qualifications

Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems.
Experience working in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on customer service.
Physical capability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
1+ years of Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems support experience, or equivalent experience.

Job Description

The IT Desktop Support Analyst provides hands-on client-side IT support at a Northlake, TX manufacturing facility. This role serves as a key contact for IT issues, partners with IT and business teams, and focuses on keeping plant systems and day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Role Location and Schedule

Employment type: Full time
Work model: Onsite
Location: Carrollton, TX (onsite), with the manufacturing facility/site referenced in the role description as Northlake, TX
Travel: Travel is required to other sites on occasion

Compensation

Annual salary range: USD 63,500 - 95,300
Additional compensation (where applicable): For certain roles, eligibility may include annual discretionary merit compensation, bonus, and equity pay

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day IT support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems to minimize downtime and maintain productivity
Support plant systems, including collaboration with external vendors when required
Manage site-level incidents and act as an escalation point for complex issues
Ensure cybersecurity compliance through system updates, patching, and ongoing maintenance
Configure and deploy equipment for new hires and onboarding activities
Maintain accurate hardware inventory and manage equipment lifecycle
Collaborate with IT and business partners to improve processes and system performance
Document systems, processes, and resolutions to support ongoing operations

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, with interaction across both office settings and the plant floor.

Required Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
Experience: Minimum of six years of broad-based computer and network support in a Microsoft environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft workstation operating systems
Experience supporting Windows-based domains (W2K/W2K3 or newer environments)
Strong knowledge of current technology trends and best practices
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment
Communication and service: Strong communication and customer service skills
