Full-Time IT Support Specialist

Hybrid IT Support role in Bossier City, Louisiana with competitive hourly pay ($22–$31) and the chance to help keep veterans supported in a mission-critical environment. You will serve as a first point of contact for IT issue resolution for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA ESDMS), using structured troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and clear incident documentation.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming service calls and/or self-service ticketing queue requests on behalf of the client, providing accurate and appropriate information
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize end-user issues to help ensure inquiries are resolved successfully
• Use troubleshooting methods to resolve hardware, software, and network problems
• Document incident status and solutions in incident database tools
• Diagnose, identify, isolate, and analyze problems using historical database records

What you’ll need

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• One (1) or more years of customer service or other telephone experience
• Louisiana residency and living within a 60-mile radius of the Bossier City facility
• Ability and willingness to work any full-time shift
• Ability and willingness to work and train onsite as required
• Must be eligible to obtain a public trust clearance
• Access to a high-speed wired internet connection
• Access to a quiet work environment free from distractions

Preferred qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field of study
• Previous troubleshooting experience with software and hardware issues, including Windows and Mac OS, internet systems, and networking
• Previous experience working with a contact center management database
• Previous experience working with a ticketing system
