In-Home Sales & Tech Support (Part Time)
Job Description
This part-time in-home sales and tech support role in Pittsburgh, PA requires daily travel to customer residences (not remote), with paid training, base hourly pay, mileage reimbursement, a phone stipend, and sales commissions.
Responsibilities
- Operate on the front lines using Asurion's Serve, Solve, Sell™ approach to assist customers in their homes.
- Complete paid training before working independently in the field.
- Meet customers in-home, in-office, or other locations; interactions are pre-scheduled to help you meet and exceed sales targets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every interaction, consistently prioritizing the customer.
- Leverage technical expertise to diagnose and resolve issues and provide clear, understandable solutions for all levels of tech knowledge.
- Ensure customers leave with a working resolution and a product that addresses future tech needs.
- Present Asurion's expanding product lineup with tailored solutions for each customer.
- Listen actively to identify needs and position products that best fit those needs.
- Apply negotiation and communication skills to pivot smoothly and secure the appropriate sale.
Requirements
- Comfortable working in a sales environment with defined targets.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with at least 1 year of driving experience.
- Proof of valid car insurance (excluding Manhattan).
- Personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles); travel to neighborhoods around the inventory warehouse with a maximum one-way distance of 120 miles.
- Varied 5-day work week including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Personal cellphone for on-the-job communication.
- Comfortable working around household pets.
- Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
- Open-minded with a passion for learning a broad range of skills across multiple career paths.
- Naturally outgoing and enjoy engaging with people.
- Hours may vary by business needs and market demand; flexibility may be required.
