Job Description
The County of Los Angeles seeks an Information Technology Technical Support Supervisor to lead an onsite IT service team in Los Angeles, CA, with a monthly salary range of USD 7,951 to 10,715.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the information technology technical support team to deliver effective help for hardware and software issues.
- Provide work direction, guidance, and daily oversight to team members.
- Assist team members in their assignments and troubleshoot complex problems as needed.
- Monitor performance, deliver constructive feedback, and address performance concerns for each team member.
- Mentor staff and oversee training to enhance technical and customer-service capabilities.
- Plan and assign work schedules for the technical support team.
- Deliver high quality customer service to users facing IT hardware and software problems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to computer hardware and software.
- Identify issues suitable for escalation to an IT specialist or external service provider.
- Stay current with evolving hardware and software technologies and best practices.

Testing and Eligibility Notes
- Multiple-choice tests are not reviewable by candidates per Civil Service Rule 7.19
- Candidates must achieve a passing score of 70% or higher on the examination to be placed on the eligible list
Testing Accommodation

Veteran's Credit

Eligibility and Vacancy Information
- Passing applicants are placed on the eligible list for six months from the promulgation date
- The list will be used to fill vacancies within the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Technology and Support Division, Data Systems Bureau

- Successful applicants must pass a thorough background investigation, including fingerprinting; felonies, certain misdemeanors, serious traffic violations, poor credit or employment history, substance abuse, or probation status can disqualify

Available Shift
- Any shift; applicants must be willing to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
