Job Description

Charm City Medical Center is hiring an IT Support Specialist to support day-to-day clinic technology across onsite and remote needs.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite and remote support to staff for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Set up, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and mobile devices, printers, scanners, and tablets
Maintain local and cloud-based systems, including internet, Wi-Fi, and internal servers
Monitor system performance and support regular data backups
Assist with disaster recovery planning
Support implementation and optimization of electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management platforms
Train staff and troubleshoot system issues related to patient data and scheduling
Ensure HIPAA compliance and data protection standards across all platforms
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control for sensitive patient information
Act as the point of contact for external IT vendors and service providers
Track IT inventory, order required equipment, and manage warranties and licenses
Recommend technology upgrades and process improvements
Support special projects including new site development, telehealth integration, and compliance audits

Requirements

Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS environments, Google Workspace, and EMR/EHR platforms
2+ years of experience
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Understanding of HIPAA regulations, network security, and data privacy standards
Experience with VPNs, firewalls, antivirus systems, and device management tools
Ability to multitask, prioritize tickets, and support staff at varying technical skill levels
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)

Chase Brexton Health Care is seeking an onsite Help Desk Specialist in Baltimore, MD to deliver Tier-1 support and manage daily helpdesk workflows.

Responsibilities

Provide first tier (Tier-1) support for user issues involving hardware and software for both local and remote users
Set up employee equipment and access, including network and relevant application access
Perform proper installation of hardware including printing and faxing, plus operating systems and application software
Periodically inspect employee equipment and software to ensure functionality, including patches and updates
Complete employee activations and deactivations in a timely manner and document the changes
Diagnose and repair reported problems; document end-user details, the nature of the issue, and resolution status/process
Modify configurations, utilities, and software default settings for local workstations (including laptops) and thin client devices
Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment (phones, printers, faxes), and software
Support onboarding for new users, including PC setup and deployment using standard hardware, images, and software

Log, track, document, and resolve incoming requests using the help desk software solution
Maintain detailed and accurate call/ticket logs, reports, and trouble tickets; ensure ticketing accuracy daily
Maintain agreed upon first call resolution rate
Maintain inventory of equipment, software, and software licenses
Follow defined Helpdesk policies and procedures and resolve issues to the end user’s satisfaction
Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
Maintain agreed upon quarterly satisfaction rating
Assist with internal physical moves, including PC and telephone
Participate in off-hours, weekend, and on-call support on a rotation basis

Job Description

The State of Maryland, DBM OPSB Division of Personnel Services is hiring temporary SPS Help Desk Support (Administrative Specialist I) help desk support for the September 2026 to December 2026 period. This contract role supports system users through incoming support calls, helping employees regain access, complete key system steps, and resolve issues within the OPSB Shared Services Division.

The position is based in Baltimore, MD (remote), with core work hours scheduled 8:00am to 4:30pm for an eight hour day. Work equipment will be provided.

Role overview

Provide system user support calls for the OPSB Shared Services Division.
Reset system passwords and support employee access to required systems.
Guide employees through system processes and help clarify steps to complete tasks.
Follow up after support interactions to confirm issues are resolved.
Share feedback about the system based on user needs and reported issues.
