Job Description

The IT Support Specialist delivers first-line technical assistance to employees at New Cibo Vita LLC in Totowa, NJ (onsite). The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting end-user technology, supporting onboarding and offboarding, and ensuring reliable day-to-day access to hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee technology support requests and coordinate issue resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving hardware, software, printers, and connectivity.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, monitors, and peripherals.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to the Senior IT Technician when additional support is required.
  • Provide effective communication and customer service while assisting users through the troubleshooting process.
  • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts according to company policies.
  • Support password resets, multifactor authentication (MFA), and access requests.
  • Assist onboarding by preparing equipment, creating user accounts, and ensuring technology readiness for an employee’s first day.
  • Support offboarding by collecting company equipment and disabling system access.
  • Deploy and maintain company-issued laptops, desktops, mobile phones, and tablets.
  • Track IT inventory and maintain accurate asset records.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs, warranty claims, and replacements, and assist with hardware refresh programs.
  • Install and update approved software applications, and perform operating system updates and routine maintenance.
  • Assist with software licensing and application deployments.
  • Support Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Maintain printers, conference room technology, and network-connected devices.
  • Help monitor system backups and basic network connectivity.
  • Support WiFi troubleshooting and basic network issues.
  • Assist the Senior IT Technician with infrastructure upgrades and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

  • 13 years of IT support or Help Desk experience.
  • Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
  • Equivalent technical training or relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
  • Basic Active Directory administration.
  • Computer hardware troubleshooting.
  • Printer support.
  • Basic networking concepts including TCP/IP, WiFi, and VPN.
  • Basic cybersecurity awareness.
  • Manufacturing or warehouse technology support experience is a plus.
