Jr Help Desk Support Specialist

Cimarron Software is hiring a Jr. Help Desk Support Specialist to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the IRES contract at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. This onsite role focuses on helping customers quickly through remote troubleshooting and disciplined service desk processes, with support for professional growth through benefits like paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and professional development assistance.

What you’ll do

• Collect and analyze technical data to develop effective resolutions.
• Provide remote troubleshooting support for break-fix issues.
• Escalate and share status updates with MDA customers as needed.
• Support enterprise projects that impact Service Desk workflows.
• Complete daily battle rhythm tasks.
• Track all work using the Remedy ticketing system.
• Use the mature knowledge database to assist customers and speed resolution.

What you bring

• Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, including testing for marijuana use.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• 6+ years of general (full-time) work experience.
• 6 or more months of IT experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher by employment start date (example: CompTIA Security+ CE).
• Experience with Remedy.
• Experience in a desktop support, service desk/help desk, or call center role.
• ITIL v3 Foundations certification.

Compensation and benefits

Salary: USD 53,000 - 67,000 per year.
