TEACHER-CTE INSTRUCTIONAL TECH SUPPORT
Job Description
Based in Hollywood, Florida, Broward County Public Schools offers a on-site role for a Teacher supporting CTE instructional technology initiatives. This position centers on delivering instruction, weaving technology into the curriculum, and advancing student achievement in alignment with district and state standards.
Responsibilities
- Use assessment strategies, including traditional and alternative methods, aligned with the curriculum and standards to support ongoing learner development.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and all other stakeholders.
- Engage in planned continuous professional quality improvement for self and the school.
- Apply instructional techniques that promote and strengthen critical, creative, and evaluative thinking in students.
- Utilize instructional strategies and materials that reflect each student’s culture, learning style, special needs, and socio-economic background.
- Fulfill contract terms and adhere to ethics and professional conduct, supporting compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
- Use an understanding of learning and human development to provide a positive learning environment that supports intellectual, personal, and social growth for all students.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the subject matter.
- Establish a classroom management system that maintains appropriate discipline and creates a positive learning environment where students are actively engaged in learning, social interaction, cooperative learning, and self-motivation.
- Plan, align, implement, and evaluate effective instruction and assessment across diverse learning environments.
- Collaborate with peers, parents, the community, and other stakeholders to continuously improve students’ educational experiences.
- Integrate appropriate technology into teaching and learning processes.
- Complete required training and obtain the endorsement outlined for LEP students if assigned Limited English Proficient learners.
- Keep school records and submit reports as required by law or regulations.
- Account for all school property in accordance with regulations and reporting procedures.
- Operate in compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies and promote safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Requirements
- Appropriate Florida certification.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
