Technical Support Engineer (After Hours)
Job Description
Jack Henry seeks a Technical Support Engineer for after-hours operations, combining hybrid systems and network administration with technical support for Credit Union Solutions. The role covers Linux, Unix, and AIX environments and the Symitar core banking platform, operating in a 24/7 remote and on-site capacity.

Salary
USD 56,800 - 89,500 per year
Responsibilities
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve user technology issues; fulfill user requests and address setup needs.
- Investigate and resolve escalated technical issues promptly, applying in-depth knowledge of products, systems, and technologies.
- Implement monthly system enhancements (software and hardware updates) to improve performance and reliability.
- Provide high-quality customer service by clearly communicating technical solutions to customers to ensure satisfaction and understanding.
- May participate in preparing test environments to simulate, document, or recreate errors reported by customers to determine appropriate action.
- Share knowledge across areas, create documentation and solution articles to resolve cases, assist with escalated issues, and manage cases and implementations.
- Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs to software engineering and help create defect records with supporting files for development to implement fixes.
- May serve as a liaison between third-party vendors and internal application administrators to identify issues and implement fixes.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience gained through hands-on work or academic training in IT, or experience in a financial institution or FinTech.
- Experience working with Unix or Linux.
- Ability to work in an on-call rotation outside normal business hours.
- Willingness to work an after-hours shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am Central Time.
- Availability to work weekends.
