Technical Support Representative
Job Description
Pencor Services is hiring a Technical Support Representative for a hybrid position in Palmerton, PA, with $17/hour pay. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, troubleshoot support issues for PenTeleData products and services, and help ensure a smooth experience through clear communication and accurate case handling.
Responsibilities
- Handle customer interactions through inbound and outbound calls, chats, and emails
- Troubleshoot a variety of support calls across PenTeleData and partner products and services
- Coordinate with other teams and departments to route calls and cases appropriately
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions
- Complete special project work as assigned by leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
- Established residency in Pennsylvania
- Previous experience interacting with customers on a daily basis
- Troubleshooting experience with Windows, Macintosh, and mobile platforms is recommended
- Troubleshooting experience involving various computer issues is recommended
- Understanding of basic networking and internet terminology and software
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong typing/data entry skills
- Excellent customer service and soft skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a face-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to change and evolving company needs
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, professionally
Training and Schedule
WFH 2-day flex shifts (after training, includes weekends and holidays as scheduled): 7AM-3PM or 3PM-11PM.
Next paid training class: Start date October 19, 2026, conducted Monday–Friday from 7AM-3PM for 3-4 weeks. Candidates must be able to commit to the full training period to be considered.
In-House and Hybrid Work Details
Employees are required to work “in house” during their probationary period. After completing probation, employees may be switched to a hybrid work-from-home schedule as long as required performance metrics have been met. Work-from-home status is subject to change based on performance. In the event of disruptions that cause poor internet connection or home disruption, you must be able to report to the office.
Work-from-Home Requirements
- Established residency in Pennsylvania
- A quiet space, free from distraction during work hours
- Internet connection of at least 100 Mbps, preferably hard-wired (Ethernet) from the modem to company-provided equipment
- Ability to maintain minimum performance metrics as defined by leadership
- Ability to report to the office if internet or in-home conditions disrupt work
