Technical Support Sr Manager
Job Description
Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP offers a hybrid Portland-based opportunity that centers on ownership, collaboration, and meaningful client impact. In this senior role, you will lead the Applications Development team within the Industry Applications group, delivering full‑stack Python applications with Anvil and AWS for manufacturing clients. The position carries a salary range of USD 179,850 to 340,970 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree and eight years of professional experience. It is designed for someone who thrives on owning development work, partnering with analysts and consultants, and delivering high quality solutions that matter.
Job Description
Baker Tilly’s Industry Applications team builds data‑driven technology solutions tailored to client needs. Our approach prioritizes hands‑on problem solving and frequent shipping, granting developers substantial ownership over the products they build. While we commonly work with manufacturing clients, we also tackle complex insurance projects, forensics, and other data‑heavy engagements. Our solutions adapt to the problem at hand, integrating a core stack around Anvil while incorporating other tools as required. Use cases include state‑machine driven applications for business processes, rules engines for regulatory compliance, machine learning models via AWS SageMaker, text and key term extraction from PDFs, mixed integer programming for optimization, and probabilistic forecasting with Monte Carlo methods.

- Propose new solutions, with a focus on leveraging the AWS ecosystem.
