Customer Technical Support Advisor

The Technical Support Advisor role at Corston Architectural Detail provides technical guidance on electrical product selection, installation, and troubleshooting for customers and trade professionals in the United States. This onsite position is based in the Chicago area (Hanover Park, IL) with a salary up to $50,000 per year plus an annual company bonus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical assistance on wiring, load compatibility, dimming systems, and installation requirements for switches, sockets, and lighting.
• Troubleshoot electrical and installation issues via phone, guiding customers and electricians through clear, step-by-step solutions.
• Support trade customers including designers, electricians, and contractors with specifications, installation details, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the wider customer service team.
• Handle customer inquiries by telephone and email.
• Identify recurring technical questions and propose updates to FAQs on Corston.us.

Requirements

• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Minimum of 1 year in electrical work, installation, or technical customer service within the electrical products/industry.
• Strong in-person and telephone communication skills.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Highly task- and KPI-driven approach.
