Desktop Support Specialist
Job Description
This contract Desktop Support Specialist role supports end users on-site in a manufacturing environment in Indianapolis, IN (46225). The position focuses on deskside assistance, PC refresh and break/fix work, and resolving Windows and Office 365 issues while documenting activity in an ITSM platform.
Role Overview
You will deliver timely, professional support to end users through installation, move, add, and change (IMAC) activities, device troubleshooting, and deployment tasks. You will also work with the broader team to resolve more complex issues and provide basic hands-and-feet network assistance when directed.
Onsite Responsibilities
- Provide deskside support for end users, including IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities
- Reimage and deploy PCs as part of refresh and break/fix processes
- Perform hardware troubleshooting and replacement for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Support users with Office 365 application issues and Windows OS-related problems
- Document incidents, service requests, and actions taken using ServiceNow or a similar ITSM tool
- Collaborate remotely with team members across other locations to resolve complex issues
- Provide basic hands-and-feet network support, including checking switch power status and creating console sessions as directed
- Maintain clear communication with end users and team leads
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience supporting Windows desktop environments
- Hands-on experience supporting Office 365 at the deskside level
- Basic knowledge of device imaging, reimaging, and PC deployment best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
- Prior Tech Bar and/or customer-facing IT experience required
- Drug & Background required
Preferred Skills and Additional Notes
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Familiarity with Windows Autopilot deployments
- Hands-and-feet network support experience (switch checks, console sessions)

- Pay type: $25 w2 per hour plus benefits
The role is onsite in a manufacturing environment. This position is a 6-month contract, with extensions and perm conversion possible, though not guaranteed.
