Job Description

Garmin International, Inc. offers a full-time Help Desk Analyst 1 position onsite at our U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area, based in Olathe, KS. This role centers on first-level end-user support and light troubleshooting, including resolution or escalation when needed. You will join a collaborative team that emphasizes knowledge sharing and delivering reliable support to users across Garmin sites.

As a member of the onsite IT support group, you will help ensure smooth daily operations for employees while building your technical skills and contributing to a positive user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the bridge between advanced support teams and end users, escalating unresolved issues when necessary.
  • Answer Help Desk phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Research, resolve, and respond to inquiries received via telephone, e-mail, walk-ups, and callbacks across company sites, following current procedures to share knowledge and improve user satisfaction.
  • Acquire and maintain current knowledge of relevant product offerings and support policies to provide technically accurate solutions to customers.
  • Maintain records of daily communications, problems, remedial actions taken, and installation activities.
  • Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, document and contribute to the knowledge base, and suggest process improvements.
  • Apply basic standards and procedures to accomplish tasks, learn applicable technologies, document work in an organized manner, and use proper tools to identify and resolve problems.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation based on a schedule shared by the Help Desk and Technical Support Specialist teams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and coursework toward a technical degree, or a minimum of 2 years IT or technical experience.
  • Excellent academics, with a general GPA benchmark of 3.0 or higher as a general rule.
  • Demonstrates basic familiarity with asset, service, monitoring, and documentation tools as well as troubleshooting and research tools.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
