Responsibilities

  • Provide first contact resolution for software issues as Tier 1 IT support.
  • Document tickets thoroughly, ensuring timely, accurate, and detailed communication until resolution.
  • Assist customers by applying technical knowledge to triage and resolve issues on a first-call basis.
  • Work an eight-hour shift onsite at Fort Meade during core hours of 6:00am to 4:00pm.
  • Utilize troubleshooting and problem isolation techniques to expedite identification and resolution of reported issues and requests.
  • Leverage technical background to guide troubleshooting and incident management for support.
  • Demonstrate sound customer service and professional telephone/ticket etiquette in responding to inquiries.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to provide outstanding support.
  • Respond promptly to management requirements and align with team expectations.

  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
