This on-site, part-time student role at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX provides a clear path to developing hands-on IT support skills within the UIW community. The position offers an hourly wage and is designed for current UIW students who may participate through the Federal Work-Study Program or student employment. You will work under the supervision of the Help Desk Manager, supporting Main Campus IT services and contributing to the campus technology experience.
- On-site, Main Campus location in San Antonio, Texas
- Part-time schedule aligned with student status
- Hourly pay of $11.00
- Eligibility to participate in the Federal Work-Study program
- Open to current UIW students
- Opportunity to gain Level 1 hardware and software support experience
Responsibilities
- Provide walk-in and over the phone support for PC and Mac systems
- Handle account access tasks, including password resets and unlocking user accounts
- Receive incoming calls and walk-in requests and document daily tasks in the tracking system
- Logically troubleshoot common support issues
- Communicate escalated issues to management and other support teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service abilities
- Strong verbal, written, and listening skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Adherence to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA
- Current UIW student approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program
- Previous experience in customer service or related field
