Job Description

GSK Solutions Inc is seeking an onsite IT Asset Manager / Technical Support professional in Little Rock, AR to manage IT hardware and software assets and provide hands-on field and helpdesk support across multiple locations. The role combines asset lifecycle ownership with practical troubleshooting for end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets from acquisition through maintenance, refresh, and secure decommissioning.
  • Maintain accurate inventory within IT Asset Management databases, including AMDB and CMDB environments.
  • Monitor software license utilization, process license requests, support compliance efforts, and address vendor audit requirements.
  • Support software and hardware procurement activities, including renewals, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Define and enforce IT Asset Management policies, approval processes, and asset tracking procedures.
  • Manage IT support tickets and maintain accurate technical documentation and system configuration records.
  • Produce reports on asset utilization, operational costs, compliance risks, and hardware or software lifecycle needs.
  • Provide end-user support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot Windows, iOS, and Android devices in office and field settings.
  • Deliver hands-on technical support for imaging, LAN connectivity, hardware, software, and endpoint issues.
  • Serve as a field technology resource and provide technical assistance across multiple locations.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and end-user issues.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of assets, configurations, support actions, and resolutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users.
  • Work independently in field environments while maintaining communication with the broader IT team.

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management.
  • 3+ years administering ITSM or ITAM tools.
  • 3+ years of helpdesk or field technician support experience.
  • 3+ years supporting end-user hardware including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • 3+ years of software installation and maintenance experience.

Skills and Technical Focus

  • Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management.
  • Strong customer service and user support skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, CSAM, CHAMP, ITIL v4, or similar certification.
  • Experience with Freshservice ITSM/ITAM.
  • Experience with NinjaOne RMM.
  • Google Workspace administration experience.
  • Experience supporting government or conservation-related organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Travel and Work Requirements

  • Fully onsite role, five days per week.
  • Local candidates required.
  • Regular statewide travel to multiple field offices is required, averaging approximately two days per week.
  • Travel may be conducted independently or with other IT personnel.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
  • Must be comfortable providing hands-on technical support in field locations and working independently in a field environment.
