Technical Support Analyst 3/IT Hardware Asset Analyst

This contract role at BranCore Technologies supports end-to-end management of client IT hardware and software assets, from acquisition through retirement. The position is onsite in Petersburg, VA and includes daily queue monitoring, ITSM ticket completion, periodic inventories and software audits, and weekly reporting.

• Contract length: 8 months, with the possibility of extending based on project needs

Key Responsibilities

• Manage client IT hardware and software assets throughout the lifecycle, including maintaining inventory, transfers, audits, ITSM tickets, warranties, contracts, licenses, PC refreshes, and compliance reporting.
• Coordinate transfers of IT assets between business units with a turnaround of 5 to 7 business days.
• Generate, distribute, and review weekly IT asset management reports.
• Complete ITSM tickets within 7 to 10 business days.
• Monitor the ITSM IT Asset Management queue on a daily basis.
• Update ticket notes with clear and accurate information to ensure the ticket lifecycle is properly captured.
• Correctly manage the ITAM queue.
• Assist with asset IMAC and the PC refresh process.
• Perform periodic inventories and usage monitoring of IT assets, recording findings, changes, physical location, and support incidences for the Technology Services department.
• Track and maintain copies of hardware warranties, maintenance agreements, and lease or vendor contracts, including contract expiration dates.
• Assist with tracking and maintaining software licenses.
• Perform periodic software audits of installs on desktops, servers, and network equipment.
• Assist in the reconciliation process between the software repository and the ISO Approval list on a semiannual basis.
