IT Help Desk Analyst

The IT Help Desk Analyst role provides onsite technical and help desk support for the U.S. Navy Team Submarine staff and program offices at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. The position also supports end user connectivity, Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) inventory, and mobile device services during environment transition efforts.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of computer science principles, information management, automated data processing functions, information technology engineering, hardware and software system structures and operation, and computer programming languages and techniques to resolve technical problems.
• Maintain an inventory list of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), including computers, iPhones, and iPads.
• Provide recommendations to the Government to ensure the GFE inventory is adequate to meet urgent needs of the TEAM SUB Enterprise.
• Test ports to validate connectivity.
• Conduct analysis of computer systems, programs, and/or planning activities.
• Provide direct support for help desk calls, including SIPR/NIPR issues, Flank Speed transition support, coordination of NMCI support, and iPhone-related issues.
• Support migration of iPhone Purebred services into the FLANKSPEED environment.
• Issue mobile devices to Team Sub personnel.
• Prepare, update, and process property passes for personnel and IT equipment.
• Escalate troubleshooting issues to NMCI when beyond your capability.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen
• Active DoD/DoW SECRET Clearance
• Minimum one year of IT experience (three years preferred)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for both technical and business-related matters
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of DoD/Navy program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management
• Security+ certification (listed as “???????” in the source data)

Salary and Experience

Estimated salary range: USD 70,000 - 85,000 per year. Minimum experience required: 1 year.
