Sensor Systems Engineering and Technical Support (SSETS)

Bowhead is seeking engineers and scientists to join the Sensor Systems Engineering and Technical Support (SSETS) program, delivering engineering and technical support across sensor domains for NSWCDD on-site in Dahlgren, Virginia. The role centers on applying systems engineering, analysis, modeling, and hardware design to advance sensor performance, certification, and verification efforts within a collaborative on-site team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an engineering school with at least one ABET-accredited professional engineering curriculum in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.
• or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.
• or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.
• or Ph.D. degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.
• Experience with AN/SPY-1, AN/SPY-6, or both.
• AEGIS experience required.
• Basic level skills in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift up to 10 to 25 pounds

Security Clearance Requirements

Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
