Job Description
This onsite technical support role at Harmar Mobility LLC provides technical assistance and training for Harmar products to external dealers, distributors, and end users. The work focuses on customer-facing support, troubleshooting, and helping ensure serviceability is addressed as products evolve.
Onsite Location
Sarasota, FL (onsite). Limited travel may be required to provide additional field support on a limited basis.
Role Summary
The position delivers technical support and training related to product repair and service issues. Support is provided through phone assistance and training classes, and may include collaborating with new product development teams to ensure serviceability concerns are considered during product development. The role also includes ordering activities related to repair parts and basic troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to external dealers, distributors, and end users for Harmar products
- Offer phone support and lead training classes focused on product repair and service issues
- Participate with new product development teams to help ensure serviceability concerns are addressed in the product development process
- Deliver advanced technical support and training programs to external dealers, distributors, and end users
- Support field needs as needed, including limited travel for additional onsite coverage
- Process parts replacement orders
- Create sales orders and return material authorizations for repair parts
- Perform basic ordering and basic troubleshooting
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of previous work-related experience in customer or field service
- Experience with electro-mechanical technology for troubleshooting dealer and end-user issues
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Detail oriented and thorough in completing work tasks
- Entry level basic troubleshooting
- Understanding of power flow and lift function
- Understanding of outside lift installations
- Understanding of inside lift basic installs
- Understanding of basic hybrid lift installs
- Ability to read and understand schematics
- Knowledge of customer service and/or technical support principles and processes, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction
