Job Description

SAIC seeks a Tier 1 (Junior) Technical Support Analyst to operate onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This role delivers real time technical assistance for C5ISR TSIG programs and carries out base level IT help desk duties, including initial network support. Salary ranges from USD 80,001 to 120,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time technical support to C5ISR TSIG Programs, including Picketline, TSPRING, and SCAMP.
Offer base-level network support, including restoration of system access and resolution of minor system anomalies.
Manage user accounts.
Monitor system status.
Report on system outages and log outage statistics.
Perform limited system or service restarts.
Escalate tickets to higher support tiers as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or an equivalent technical degree, plus five or more years of related experience; four years of directly related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
IAT II Level Certification in line with DoD 8570.
Relevant computing environment certifications (Linux+, MCSA, Red Hat Certified Administration).
Experience working with Windows OS and Linux.
Fundamental understanding of managing and operating virtualization and containerization technologies (LKVM, ESXi, HyperV, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes).
TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph or higher is required for consideration.
Candidate must be a US Citizen. Dual Citizenship is a disqualifier for this position.
Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in information technology and information assurance, or equivalent relevant disciplines including industry (development contractor) or DoD background.
Ability to read and understand network and electronic diagrams and troubleshoot system errors.
Ability to create, work, resolve, elevate and close-out work tickets in an ITSM application (e.g., JIRA Service Management, I-Help).
Strong background in Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and partnerships with stakeholders at all levels.
Coding skills in BASH.
Coding skills in Puppet.
YAML.
Networking knowledge including TCP/IP.
DHCP Server, Linux.
DNS Server, Linux.
Provisioning (PXE / Anaconda).
Active Directory.
Niagara Files.
Public Key Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time technical support for C5ISR TSIG Programs, including Picketline, TSPRING, and SCAMP, using remote access and specialized diagnostic tools as required
Support TSIG as a system of systems comprising persistent, non-persistent, and survey SIGINT components with a novel network transport layer
Deliver system and network troubleshooting with advanced diagnostics and anomaly resolution
Resolve escalated Tier 1 tickets to restore operations
Perform system recovery activities such as reboots and restoration after network or power outages
Restart mission system services and operating system services as needed
Create dataflow issue tickets and coordinate with external dataflow partners for problem resolution
Validate and troubleshoot RF data and related applications
Conduct network and application-level troubleshooting when RF is unavailable to sensor software
Collaborate with analysts to enable or troubleshoot specific signal detection and collection
Coordinate Field Support Representative (FSR) support for touch labor
Track and report hardware problems
Respond to Cyber Security Alerts and implement required actions
Respond to System Alerts and initiate the prescribed response plan

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or an equivalent technical Bachelor’s degree with nine years of total experience; or 3-5 years of direct IT and information assurance experience; or other relevant disciplines, with additional years of experience substituting for a degree
IAT II Level certification aligned with DoD 8570
Certifications such as Linux+, Microsoft Windows Certified Administrator, or Red Hat Certified Administration
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
Fundamental understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies (KVM LKVM, ESXi, Hyper-V, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
Requires a TS/SCI security clearance to begin and maintain employment; a current Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph or higher is required; dual citizenship is disqualifying

Job Description

Senior Tier 3 Technical Support Analyst providing IT and communications systems support for C5ISR-QRC programs on-site at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Responsibilities

Deliver in-depth technical support to C5ISR TSIG Programs, including Picketline, TSPRING, and SCAMP.
Provide system and network support with advanced remote diagnostics and specialized tools to resolve anomalies.
Perform advanced troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
Administer and manage administrator and service accounts.
Execute software and firmware updates and patching.
Troubleshoot existing data flows with external teams.
Assist in developing new data flows for emerging data and capability requirements.
Conduct system configuration management.
Identify and substantiate or rectify system deviations.
On-site, full-time work at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD with a five-day workweek; shift changes may be required to cover off hours and weekends; may transition to 12-hour days with a shortened work week.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent technical field, or a Management/Leadership Degree with 14+ years of overall experience.
