Job Description

At Tormach Inc, the Technical Support Specialist I role focuses on helping customers get CNC equipment set up, troubleshoot issues, and receive practical technical guidance. Based in Madison, WI with a hybrid in-office/remote work arrangement, this position supports equipment installation, accessory setup, and ongoing customer care, with a salary range of USD 65,000 to 75,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers during the setup of new equipment and installation of accessories
Assist customers with troubleshooting problems on existing equipment
Document details of interactions with customers for reference and continuous improvement
Undertake project work as directed by manager or team

Requirements

Minimum of a 2-year technical degree in CNC machining, programming, and/or robotics
Strong math skills
Minimum of 2-3 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in programming, setup, and fixturing
Broad experience with other manufacturing processes
Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment

Job Description

This onsite CNC Applications Support Specialist role in San Diego offers the opportunity to apply seasoned machining expertise to guide teams through real world setup and fixturing challenges. You will work directly with machinists to optimize workholding and zero point solutions, troubleshoot issues, and relay feedback to engineering. The position offers an hourly rate of $38 to $48 and requires a high school diploma or equivalent along with at least three years of hands-on CNC experience.
