Airport Airfield, Safety & Security Systems Support Engineer

The Airport Airfield, Safety and Security Systems Support Engineer role supports mission-critical safety and security technology at John F Kennedy Airport in Jamaica, NY. This position focuses on troubleshooting, operational support, and incident reporting for integrated airport systems.

Location

Jamaica, NY (onsite), serving John F Kennedy Airport, NY.

Compensation

USD 90,000 - 130,000 per year.

Experience Level

Minimum: 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in triage activities during downtime in coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Work collaboratively with other teams to support airport systems and resolve operational issues.
• Provide incident management and analysis reports.
• Maintain and create documentation for training purposes.
• Maintain and create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and checklists as needed.

Required Experience and Skills

3-5 years of hands-on experience supporting, troubleshooting, operating, and maintaining:

• Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL)
• Airport visual docking guidance systems
• Passenger boarding bridge systems
• Apron Management Systems
• CCTV
• Access Control Systems (ACS)
• Physical security information management systems
• Airport operations control systems
• Data center equipment

• Good knowledge of integrated technical management systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
