Apple Technical Support & Sales Specialist
Job Description
Part-time Apple Technical Support and Sales role at a locally owned shop, combining frontline tech help, product sales, and customer service to diagnose issues and guide customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess the specific assistance they need
- Provide frontline technical support for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and other Apple devices
- Ask clarifying questions and perform initial troubleshooting to understand technical problems
- Determine whether the issue can be resolved through one-on-one support, training, software troubleshooting, or service check-in
- Check in computers, phones, tablets, and other devices for service
- Document accurately customer concerns, device conditions, passwords, symptoms, and steps taken
- Create and update sales and service tickets
- Assist with device setup, Apple Account questions, software updates, backups, email, printing, networking, and other common tech needs
- Provide one-on-one iOS and macOS support
- Explain technical information in clear, accessible terms
- Help customers choose the right Mac, iPad, iPhone, accessories, AppleCare, and MacMan services
- Learn and explain MacMan products, support options, and service processes
- Follow up with customers regarding sales and service needs
- Assist with merchandising and keep the store clean, organized, and professional
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to deliver a consistent customer experience
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Apple products and the Apple ecosystem
- Comfort using macOS, iOS, iPadOS, iCloud, Apple Accounts, and common Apple apps and services
- Enjoy troubleshooting technology and helping people solve problems
- Ability to listen carefully and ask effective troubleshooting questions
- Communicate technical information clearly and patiently
- Comfortable engaging with customers in person and by phone
- Dependable, organized, motivated, and eager to learn
- Accurately document customer concerns and technical details
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude, even with frustrated customers

About the Position
You will typically be the first point of contact when a customer has a technology problem. You will listen, assess, document the issue, and help determine the most appropriate next step. Some problems are resolved through basic troubleshooting or one-on-one support, while other devices may be checked in for further diagnosis or repair by a service technician. Your ability to collect accurate information and explain the process clearly contributes to a positive customer experience. You will also assist customers in selecting and purchasing Macs, iPads, iPhones, accessories, AppleCare, and other products and services based on their needs.
