Diesel Technical Support Specialist

The Diesel Technical Support Specialist provides Tier 1 technical assistance to dealer technicians, focusing on heavy-duty truck engine, aftertreatment, and electrical diagnostics to support vehicle uptime. This is an onsite contract role based in Renton, WA or Lewisville, TX, with multiple shift options.

Position Overview

In this role, you will help diagnose and resolve technical issues by supporting engine and aftertreatment troubleshooting, assisting with electrical system concerns, and guiding repair progress. When matters require deeper expertise, you will escalate complex cases to Tier 2/3 teams and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 technical support to dealer technicians for engine, aftertreatment, and electrical issues to help maximize truck uptime
• Track repair progress and support engine and chassis software applications
• Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 teams and leadership as needed
• Maintain engine certifications and support service tool, documentation, and product quality projects

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of automotive or diesel engine diagnostics experience using OBD and computer-based diagnostic tools
• Automotive or Diesel Technical Degree
• Ability to earn and maintain technical certifications
• Strong electrical diagnostics skills and customer service abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Comfort working in a fast-paced 24/7 environment

Compensation

Pay range: USD 30–34 per hour
