Technical Support Specialist - Industrial Machinery

Custom Machine Works, LLC is hiring an onsite Technical Support Specialist in Fenton, MO to help customers get the most from their specialized industrial machinery. In this role, you will deliver expert phone and email support, troubleshoot issues across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and operational areas, and guide customers toward practical next steps. The position offers USD 28 to 38 per hour and a benefits package designed to support your health and stability.

What you can expect

You will work directly with customers and use your technical background to diagnose machine problems, identify replacement parts, and support efficient equipment operation. A key part of the job is balancing multiple service requests while providing clear guidance based on technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert phone and email support for specialized industrial machinery brands
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and operational issues
• Identify replacement parts when customers need components or service direction
• Help customers keep equipment running efficiently through actionable support and guidance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, servicing, or maintaining industrial machinery and equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and parts breakdowns
• Ability to diagnose machine issues and develop practical solutions
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers
• Ability to manage multiple service requests and priorities
