Field Technical Support Specialist
Job Description
C.C. JENSEN, Inc. is looking for a Field Technical Support Specialist based in Houston, TX to provide on-site service and technical support for oil filtration systems. In this role, you’ll diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, support customers during installation and commissioning, and also provide remote technical and sales assistance when you are not traveling.
You will work closely with customers, the Sales team, and technical colleagues in Denmark to help resolve problems and support successful system operation. The position also includes customer training participation and project involvement as part of the broader team goals.
What you’ll do
- Provide service and technical support for oil filtration systems, coordinating with customers, Sales, and the Denmark technical team to resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Travel to customer sites to service existing systems and commission new systems.
- During site visits, review customer facilities for additional product opportunities, gather necessary data, and report findings to the appropriate salesperson.
- When not traveling, work remotely to deliver customer technical and sales support.
- Contact customers regarding new systems and support successful startup and operation.
- Participate in customer training and help manage projects.
- Collaborate with the sales team to help capture new business.
- Develop a strong understanding of the CJC® product and service portfolio to explain benefits, answer questions, and support customer decisions.
- Assist with other company needs as required.

What you’ll bring
- Mechanical device knowledge, including experience with motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, turbines, and similar equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical control systems, including (re)programming PLC controls and handling network configuration.
- Competency using Digital Multimeters, Tachometers, and Oscilloscopes.
- A quick learner who actively uses training and development resources.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers during face-to-face interactions.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities, including working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities.
- Comfort working in a dynamic international environment with internal teams, OEMs, end users, and international clients.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in a technical field, or 3+ years experience in a technical support role (preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally (preferred).
- After-hours work may be required to complete service calls or projects and respond to customer requests.
- Valid driver’s license with a good standing driving record.
- Strong computer skills and pride in your work.

Compensation and location
- Salary: USD 70,000 - 90,000 per year
- Work location: In person
- Location: Houston, TX 77079 (Preferred)
