This part-time role combines in-home field sales with on-site tech support, requiring daily travel to customer residences. The position includes paid training, a base wage, mileage reimbursement, a phone stipend, and commissions, with flexible afternoon or evening scheduling options.

Role Overview

This position blends in-home sales activities with technical support responsibilities in a field setting. It offers paid training, a base hourly rate, mileage reimbursement, a monthly phone stipend, and sales commissions, with the possibility of a flexible afternoon or evening schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers using the Serve, Solve, Sell framework on the front lines.
  • Complete paid training to operate independently in the field.
  • Build product knowledge and gain hands-on sales experience while refining communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; ongoing coaching supports growth and confidence.
  • Meet customers in their homes, at their offices, or wherever they are; pre-schedule interactions and aim to meet or exceed sales targets while delivering exceptional service.
  • Apply expertise to diagnose and resolve tech issues, providing clear solutions that address current needs and future requirements.
  • Leverage Asurion products to offer tailored solutions; listen actively to identify needs and position products accordingly; use negotiation and communication skills to close sales.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a sales environment with established targets.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and at least one year of driving experience.
  • Ability to provide proof of valid auto insurance (Manhattan excluded).
  • Own a personal vehicle (no motorcycles); customer appointments occur in neighborhoods and cities around the inventory warehouse, with a typical travel radius up to 120 miles one-way.
  • Work a varied five-day week including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Personal cellphone required to stay connected on the job.
  • Comfortable working around household pets.
  • Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
  • Open-minded with a passion for learning a broad set of skills applicable to multiple career paths.
  • Outgoing personality that thrives on interaction with people.
  • Flexibility: work hours may vary based on business needs and market demand.

Benefits

  • Base hourly rate guaranteed for all hours worked, with bi-weekly pay.
  • Uncapped commissions based on sales performance, paid bi-weekly.

Pay Rate

$23.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement, phone stipend, and sales commission.

Part-Time Schedule

  • Standard five-day schedule with afternoon/evening availability: typically 4:05 PM to 9:00 PM, end times may vary based on customer needs.
  • In select markets, a flexible 4+ day option may be available: 25 hours per week across at least four days, with at least one weekend day; shifts run 12:05 PM to 9:00 PM, start as late as 4:00 PM, and end times vary.
  • If the flexible option is offered in your market, you may choose between schedules.
