Internal IT Help Desk Technician

Provides remote and onsite technical support and PC setup to address the internal IT needs of the SynchroNet organization. The role can operate independently or as part of a team and may involve training peers. This position is based onsite in Bremen, Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to company staff
• Monitor the ticket queue and ensure tasks are completed promptly
• Assist with software compliance audits
• PC setup and ongoing maintenance
• Customer IT support
• Keep the supervisor informed on major areas of responsibility
• Train peers when required
• Complete projects in a timely manner
• Proactively identify negative network conditions when possible and report to the supervisor
• Maintain knowledge of current and new applicable technologies
• Maintain cooperative work relationships
• Perform special assignments as needed

Requirements

• Proven advanced computer skills are required
• Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting
• Configure, install, deploy, and/or repair PCs and servers
• Provide support to local and remote users with computer and phone issues
• Advanced knowledge of Windows PC and server operating systems
• Able to work under general supervision, independently and in a team environment
• Maintain cooperative work relationships
• Strong time management and documentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with 95% accuracy
• Ability to sit for long periods
• Capability to bend, stoop, lift, carry, kneel or crawl
• Drive safely and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
• Balance and climb ladders safely
• Sufficient hand strength and dexterity for using industry tools, including sharp tools
• Ability to tolerate confined spaces and perform well under stress
