Job Description

Overview Asurion is seeking a bilingual English/Spanish Onsite Technical Support and Sales Representative in Orlando, FL. This role blends hands-on troubleshooting with on-site selling of Asurion products, supported by PPX incentives. The position offers an hourly range of $20 to $32 and requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and troubleshoot customer concerns
Identify technical issues and deploy solutions with efficient, courteous, and accurate communication
Utilize call center technology to document, track, and report customer issues
Meet performance goals and grow from feedback and coaching
Complete 3–4 weeks of in-class training, followed by 2–4 weeks of floor training paired with peers
Sell Asurion smart home and other products on every call
Operate with PPX incentives tied to performance
Spend 4–8 hours daily at a computer in a high-noise call center environment, headset used about 90% of the time
Escalate calls appropriately when needed
Demonstrate integrity in serving, solving, and selling by listening to customer needs and providing accurate information in line with Asurion values

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques
Ability to achieve sales and customer experience goals and objectives
This is a sales role with sales activity goals that must be met to be successful
Competence to retain knowledge and solve customer concerns through memorization of product offerings and customer information
Strong attention to detail while multitasking with speed and accuracy
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the customer, the business, and the team
Reliable attendance and performance history
Computer literacy and ability to type 25–35 words per minute and learn call center software
Passing hiring assessment covering soft skill scenario modeling and product knowledge
Existing knowledge of multiple hardware platforms and operating systems, or willingness to learn, including Windows, Android, Blackberry OS, Apple iOS, and related wireless technology and applications

Job Description

Direct-hire Generator Technical Support Manager overseeing generator service operations across North and South America in a hybrid role based in Orlando, FL.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of about 10 technical professionals, including performance management and career development
Provide technical oversight and support for generator systems across the U.S., Canada, and South America
Serve as a subject matter expert in generator electrical systems with supporting mechanical knowledge
Support field operations, including on-site troubleshooting and outage execution as needed
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on project planning, cost development, and service delivery
Oversee technical support processes and ensure strong back-office coordination
Review and approve scope of work and cost estimates for generator repairs and services
Drive continuous improvement in technical operations, service delivery, and team performance
Support forecasting efforts, vendor coordination, and resource planning
Maintain and support multi OEM equipment platforms, including Siemens, Mitsubishi, GE, Westinghouse

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience
6–7+ years of experience in power generation with a focus on generator systems
Strong expertise in generator electrical systems; mechanical experience is a plus
Prior hands-on experience as a Field Engineer or similar technical role
Proven leadership experience managing direct reports
Experience with Siemens, Mitsubishi, GE (preferred), Westinghouse (a plus)
Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
Experience working in technical support or operations environments
Ability to support geographically dispersed teams and projects
