IT Help Desk Specialist
Job Description
QuestEQ Inc helps libraries and schools navigate digital transformation by delivering reliable, hands-on IT support. The IT Help Desk Specialist (Hybrid) role in Pittsburgh focuses on providing fast client assistance, diagnosing hardware and software issues, and implementing practical solutions while managing basic hardware maintenance and peripheral setup. The position follows a Tuesday through Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with Saturday hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

USD 32,000 - 37,000 per year
Experience and Education
- Associates degree and/or equivalent experience in information technology field
- 1 to 2 years of experience supporting desktop devices
Responsibilities
- Provide fast and effective support to clients
- Respond to queries, assess and diagnose computer hardware and software problems, and implement effective solutions
- Modify hardware systems
- Install computer peripherals
- Perform basic computer maintenance
- Monitor, answer, and respond to requests by phone, voicemail, email, and web submissions
- Utilize a ticketing system to log, update, and communicate issues and progress
- Provide Windows 10 and Windows 11 OS support
- Hardware troubleshooting and support
- Basic troubleshooting of user accounts and profiles
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
- Assist libraries with the use, configuration, and troubleshooting of core software Envisionware and Sierra

What You Will Be Doing
- As a Help Desk Specialist (Hybrid), provide fast and effective client support
- Respond to queries, assess and diagnose computer hardware and software problems, and implement effective solutions
- Modify hardware systems, install computer peripherals, and perform basic maintenance
- adhere to the schedule of Tuesday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Required Education and Experience
- Associates degree and/or equivalent experience in information technology field
- 1 to 2 years of experience supporting desktop devices
- Understanding of computer and network operations
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills for internal and external communications
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to pass Criminal Background Clearances
