Job Description

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is hiring a permanent, full-time IT Helpdesk Technician in Richmond, VA onsite. This role serves as a frontline support resource for end-user hardware, software, and connectivity issues, while handling service requests with professionalism and adherence to service standards.

Role Overview

The IT Helpdesk Technician is the primary point of contact for corporate helpdesk needs and supports day-to-day user account and device administration. The position focuses on resolving end-user incidents and requests, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting with escalations and process improvements in partnership with the Helpdesk Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for end-user IT support requests through phone, email, the ticketing system, and walk-up interactions
  • Triage, prioritize, and resolve helpdesk tickets within established SLA targets using ServiceNow
  • Administer user account provisioning, updates, and deprovisioning in Active Directory and Azure AD / Entra ID
  • Perform workstation imaging, deployment, and configuration using Microsoft Intune / Autopilot
  • Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues across desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related peripherals
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring timely and accurate access provisioning
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory and documentation for supported equipment
  • Collaborate with the Helpdesk Manager on escalations, process improvements, and IT projects
  • Provide basic network troubleshooting support, including VPN, Wi-Fi, and LAN connectivity

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of corporate helpdesk or desktop support experience in an enterprise environment
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Azure AD / Entra ID user administration
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration and end-user support
  • Experience with ServiceNow or an equivalent enterprise ticketing system
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, or SCCM for device deployment and management
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting skills for Windows-based endpoints
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ticket queues and meet SLA targets independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a professional, user-focused approach
  • Stable work history with demonstrated multi-year tenure at previous employers
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange or Exchange Online
  • Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) platforms for mobile device support
  • Experience supporting onboarding and offboarding workflows in a regulated or compliance-driven environment
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field

Compensation

This onsite role offers an annual salary range of USD 50,000 - 60,000.

Work Location and Environment

This position is based in Richmond, VA and is onsite. The role is performed in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment. During duties, exposure to noise levels consistent with a shop environment may occur, and PPE is always required. Occasional visits to construction sites may be necessary.

Travel

Travel is limited to less than 5%, with no overnight travel.
