IT Support Specialist II
Job Description
The IT Support Specialist II role at PFNonwovens LLC is an onsite position in Hazleton, PA, focused on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer systems and networks. The position supports secure access and reliable IT-enabled workflows across business unit locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Use strong problem solving and decision-making skills to address IT issues.
- Track help desk tickets and service requests to ensure timely resolution.
- Analyze and troubleshoot hardware, software, and security access requests for PC’s, laptops, business unit applications, site servers, and media devices.
- Perform upgrades to PC hardware and software, including hard drives, memory, peripheral devices, operating systems, and application software.
- Set up computers for new employees and handle repair and support for existing equipment.
- Cover business unit location IT service needs as necessary, including participation in shared services endeavors and remote hands support for areas such as thin clients, Citrix, and application servers, as well as facilities security and networking.
- Support and enable Exchange based resources, including calendars, rooms, and equipment.
- Enable and support collaboration resources for departmental, project-based, public, and private use, including folders and SharePoint areas.
- Document procedures and assist in educating and training the user community.
- Ensure full customer satisfaction through proficient troubleshooting and attention to detail.
- Improve business efficiency through IT-enabled process improvement using existing tools as well as hardware and software resources.
- Ensure data security and integrity across the employee, application, and facility level in alignment with enterprise-wide policy and practice.
- Align local IT resources and shared resources with business unit objectives.
- Manage network equipment, keeping service secure and upgraded, and support effectiveness and compliance.
- Engage with business unit functions and processes to understand and articulate business requirements and related IT capabilities and requirements.
- Manage priorities and deliver results with limited resources.
- Use hands-on engagement with applications and technology tools to deliver solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in computer science or above (desired).
- CompTIA A+ or MCDA Certifications (a plus).
- All experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to walk the facility for the duration of the shift.
- May need to grasp, hold, carry, lift, crawl, kneel, or squat occasionally during the shift.
- May need to climb without issue with heights up to three (3) levels.
- Ability to withstand temperature changes between high temperatures and moderate to low temperatures.
- Hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and a hard hat required in designated areas.
Education
An Associate’s degree in computer science or above is desired for this role.
