Job Description

Service Desk Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services, onsite in San Antonio, TX, with a salary of USD 29,000 - 30,000 per year and a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls at the Premium Client Service Centre in a professional, timely manner, resolving technical issues over the phone and via remote support.
  • Provide direct assistance to clients with end-user faults, guiding through troubleshooting steps to reach resolution.
  • Handle non-fault related requests such as software installations, data and application access, and onboarding new hires with required technology setups.
  • Operate as part of a complete service team to deliver effective solutions that meet customer needs and support product and service improvements.
  • Regularly identify repetitive faults by communicating with other support groups and the service desk leadership team.
  • Collaborate with business areas to offer guidance and solutions, proactively identifying technology enhancements to boost daily productivity.
  • Contribute to process or knowledge documentation as required to support knowledge sharing and consistency.
  • Participate in testing and implementation phases for changes and enhancements to systems and applications used by business units.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in a technical service desk environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Professional (all variants).
  • Working knowledge of operating systems, including Windows variants.
  • Solid technical ability with investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and reporting lines to drive results.
