Columbus, Ohio serves as the onsite hub for a part-time In-Home Sales & Tech Support role with Asurion. This position requires daily travel to customer residences and blends hands-on tech assistance with sales momentum, guided by a structured Serve, Solve, Sell approach. You’ll begin with paid training and receive ongoing coaching in a customer-focused, quota-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Apply the Serve, Solve, Sell model in the field to assist customers.
- Meet clients in their homes, offices, or other locations as pre-scheduled by Asurion to reach and exceed sales targets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every interaction, keeping the customer first.
- Use your expertise to address and resolve tech issues and explain solutions clearly, regardless of the customer’s tech knowledge.
- Ensure customers leave with a working resolution and a product that meets future tech needs.
- Leverage Asurion’s growing product lineup to tailor solutions to individual customers.
- Listen actively to identify needs and position products to meet those needs.
- Apply strong negotiation and communication skills to pivot smoothly and secure appropriate sales.
- Start with paid training to prepare for independent field work, followed by ongoing coaching and mentoring for growth.
Requirements
- Comfortable working in a sales environment with set targets.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year of driving experience.
- Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluding Manhattan).
- Personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles) within neighborhoods and cities around the inventory warehouse; maximum travel distance of 120 miles one-way.
- Flexible 5-day schedule designed to meet customers on their timeline, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Personal cellphone to stay connected while on the job.
- Comfortable working around household pets.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base hourly rate of $23.00 for all hours worked, paid bi-weekly; earned pay can be accessed early.
- Uncapped commissions based on sales performance, paid bi-weekly.
- Mileage reimbursement according to IRS guidelines, paid weekly.
- $35 monthly phone stipend.
- Three weeks of paid training, with a focus on success in the role.
Part-Time Schedule
- Five evenings per week, typically 4:05 pm to 9:00 pm (for WA/CA/CO postings: 4:05 pm–8:00 pm).
