Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an entry level IT Support Engineer I to provide technical assistance for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software across multiple sites within a defined geographic area. This onsite role is based in Garner, North Carolina, with an hourly pay range between USD 25 and 41.
Responsibilities
- Plan and troubleshoot networks, manage data cabling, and perform systems administration across diverse software and hardware environments.
- Maintain availability of infrastructure networking and computing systems during production hours.
- Collaborate with management and staff to deliver analytical and technical support aimed at continuously improving IT solutions.
- Oversee local technical projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes related to IT operations.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies to drive improvements.
- Lift up to 49 pounds and stand or move for shifts up to 12 hours.
- Support customers across multiple buildings in the area and remote clients.
- Travel within the local or regional area to provide on-site support as needed.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience with Windows Server technologies including Active Directory, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
- 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high-availability environment.
- 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and asset disposal experience.
- 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
- 2+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
- 2+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating system support experience.
- 2+ years of supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking, security, databases (relational or NoSQL), and operating systems (Unix, Linux, or Windows).
