Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain local networks to optimize performance.
- Troubleshoot and analyze warehouse operational equipment and systems.
- Develop strategies for short- and long-term goals to meet or exceed warehouse operations expectations.
- Support PowerShell scripting and automation efforts.
- Serve as the liaison between technical operations and production operations.
- Package software installations across multiple computers simultaneously.
- Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Troubleshoot to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripherals (routers, printers, etc.).
- Inspect computer hardware such as HDDs, mice, keyboards, and related components to verify functionality.
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on operating new software and equipment.
- Maintain records and logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules.
- Identify shortages of computer or network equipment and place orders as needed.
- Adhere to corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report any noncompliance observed.
- Follow all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
Requirements
- High school diploma and relevant work experience in lieu of an advanced degree.
- 3+ years of end-user support experience.
- 1+ year of IT support experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and the Microsoft Server product line.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VPN technologies.
- Working knowledge of data backup, virus protection, and network system monitoring.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage technical operations.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
- Solid understanding of computer systems, networks, and internet security principles.
- Ability to participate in on-call support within a 24/7 operational environment.
