Store Systems Help Desk Specialist

Kinney Drugs is hiring a Store Systems Help Desk Specialist for a hybrid role based in Gouverneur, NY. In this position, you will support pharmacy and point of sale environments by providing help desk phone assistance and coordinating practical resolutions for in-store technology.

You will serve as a first line resource for stores, handling inquiries and complaints with professionalism while tracking each interaction in a corporate system. The role also includes working across internal teams and with hardware and software vendors to keep issues moving toward closure, with timely follow-up until problems are resolved.

What you’ll do

• Answer store requests promptly and courteously, providing resolutions to inquiries and handling complaints in a professional manner.
• Resolve issues through multiple channels, including telephone, e-mail, fax, store mail, US mail, or in person.
• Keep calls efficient by working to minimize call length while maintaining strong service quality.
• Coordinate with other departments as needed to resolve problems.
• Work with hardware and software vendors to support problem resolution.
• Provide timely follow up on each call until the issue is resolved.
• Document and review call and resolution details in a corporate tracking system.
• Assist with maintenance of master files as needed.
• Complete depot tracking forms when hardware is supplied to stores or other departments.
• Follow Help Desk Policies and Procedures.
• Complete mandatory and regulatory training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required skills and experience

• Provide help desk phone support for pharmacy and point of sale systems, in-store PCs, handheld units, networking, and phones.
• Document and review all call details on a corporate tracking system.
• Adhere to Help Desk Policies and Procedures.
• Complete mandatory and regulatory training programs.
• Education: Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Preferred: 1 or more years of experience in Pharmacy operations and/or POS.
