Technical Support and Project Specialist

Velocity Network, Inc. is hiring an onsite Technical Support and Project Specialist in Erie, PA. This role combines advanced technical support with hands-on infrastructure project work, giving you a direct path to impact complex systems and help keep critical projects moving. What you’ll do

• Complete server, cloud, virtualization, and network infrastructure project tasks as assigned.
• Assess client needs and technical requirements to help scope solutions that align with project design and implementation.
• Diagnose complex IT infrastructure issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Act as an escalation resource for cross-functional teams by evaluating advanced technical issues, determining next actions, and supporting timely resolution.
• Identify and communicate technical risks, obstacles, or changes that could affect project requirements, schedules, or outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to share information, coordinate technical activities, and support successful issue and project resolution.
• Maintain accurate, complete documentation of work performed.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree or technical training in information technology, computer networking, systems administration, or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of IT support experience; additional experience implementing IT infrastructure projects or resolving high-level technical issues is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
• Advanced knowledge of server, cloud, virtualization, and network infrastructure, including migrations and complex troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and communicate risks effectively.
• A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to meet all requirements for working in Pennsylvania schools, including successful completion of required Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 background clearances following hire.
