Job Description

This on-site Technical Support Engineer position moves forward EcoMicron Inc.'s commitment to dependable customer service by serving as the liaison between clients and the factory. Based in Leander, TX, the role delivers installation, operation, calibration, and maintenance support for sophisticated electro-mechanical systems, with responsibilities spanning Alpha and Beta site activities, on-site troubleshooting, customer-facing presentations, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the field escalation focal point and primary liaison between customers and the factory to address issues and coordinate responses.
  • Provide Alpha site support to Engineering for installation, operation, calibration, service, and testing of new hardware, processes, or software on internal engineering tools.
  • Deliver Beta site support for installation, operation, calibration, service, and testing of new hardware, processes, or software designs.
  • Offer expert on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for complex electro-mechanical systems at customer facilities; execute full installation and relocation start-up activities.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems, perform diagnostic procedures, isolate root causes, minimize downtime, and determine corrective actions as needed.
  • Present system upgrades, support plans, and technical demonstrations to customers.
  • Lead training sessions for customers and internal teams, sharing best practices for equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, and sales, to address customer needs and provide product improvement feedback.
  • Create and maintain detailed service reports, technical documentation, and equipment manuals.
  • Provide technical instruction and mentorship for junior engineers.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to rapidly understand semiconductor front-end equipment.
  • Prior knowledge of semiconductor OEM products and the customer base.
