Technical Support Engineer II-III (Semiconductor)

Build customer confidence with hands-on technical support at the LAM Tualatin Site in Tualatin, Oregon. In this role, you will support sub-fab projects tied to new sales opportunities, deliver on-site troubleshooting for complex electro/mechanical equipment and software, and help customers with product selection, setup, operation, and maintenance. You will also contribute clear reporting and technical feedback to engineering teams to improve reliability over time.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of OEM Operations and be stationed at the key customer site in Tualatin, Oregon, including daily on-site attendance (except when traveling).
• Support new sales opportunities by meeting face to face with customers to understand application details and desired technical outcomes for sub-fab projects.
• Specify ETI product solutions, assign part numbers, and liaise with sales so quoted hardware solutions are properly configured and clearly explained to the customer.
• Provide technical support to the Site Services Team field engineers and technicians, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, and/or complex software.
• Conduct recommendations for product selection, setup, operation, and maintenance during customer meetings.
• Address escalations when first-line support cannot isolate or resolve issues in malfunctioning equipment or software.
• Identify and report design, reliability, and maintenance problems or software bugs to design engineering and software engineering.
• Deliver detailed monthly reports covering sub-fab and direct tool business activities, along with plans for the following month.
• Provide training, guidance, or technical assistance to customers, end users, and internal teams.
• Plan downtime and ensure scheduled commitments are met, including timely preparation for effective repairs when first-line support needs support.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with EBARA safety policies, including participation in and completion of required safety training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.

Experience and Knowledge

• Six (6) to Ten (10) years of work-related experience, preferably in semiconductor or related industry.
• Working knowledge of mechanical skills.
• Working knowledge of principles of semiconductor and/or vacuum technology.
• Strong customer relations skills.

Location: Tualatin, OR (onsite) | Salary: USD 85,000 to 110,000 per year
