Job Description

Siemens seeks a Technical Support Specialist in Peachtree Corners, GA, offering a hybrid work arrangement and a focus on phone and email support for electrical power distribution products, including wiring, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Daily use of Siebel ASSIST, a Customer Relationship Management tool, to queue and manage inquiries with a first-in, first-out workflow and a target response time of up to 2 hours.
  • Interpret and respond to questions from stakeholders in the electrical controls and power distribution space, including contractors, integrators, electricians, distributors, and internal Siemens teams such as Business Developers and Sales Engineers.
  • Multitask across multiple products in a fast-paced environment, switching focus as needed throughout the day.
  • Review operations and maintenance manuals to deliver wiring, commissioning, and troubleshooting guidance to customers by phone or email.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and convert verbal discussions into written notes within Siebel ASSIST after each interaction.
  • Performance assessed through customer survey results, knowledge sharing, team collaboration, and attainment of team and organizational goals.
  • Some after-hours work may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or at least 1 year of experience in the electrical power distribution field in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency with circuit breakers and switches (residential and power), load centers, panelboards, switchboards, busway, meter combos, and familiarity with Modbus, Profinet, and Ethernet IP.
  • 1+ year of experience in customer support within related industries such as industrial, construction, mechanical, or electrical sectors.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States with no sponsorship required now or in the future.
  • Experience delivering detailed information over the phone in a prior technical support role, providing a moderate level of technical phone support to both internal and external customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
