Desktop Support

In this Field Service Support/Desktop Support position, you will help keep end users productive by performing troubleshooting, parts replacement, system upgrades, deployments, and repairs for common desktop and workplace devices. Work primarily follows established processes, with discretion and independent judgment needed for non-routine matters.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic troubleshooting, parts replacement, systems upgrades, deployment, and repair for desktops, notebooks, and printers.
• Provide troubleshooting and repair support across desktops and printers, including basic deployment tasks.
• Respond to calls after normal business hours per leader instructions.
• Identify potential issues that could adversely impact the end user experience and take corrective action.
• Apply policies and procedures for the work area with discretion and independent judgment when handling non-routine matters.
• Serve as an escalation point for less experienced team members and may recommend policy improvements to managers.

Requirements

• Typically requires 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Undergraduate degree or some college coursework preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Windows operating system environment.
• Solid client service skills.
• A+ desktop or equivalent skill set is required; additional certifications for various hardware platforms may be required.
• Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Minimal travel; overnight domestic trips may be required.
• Personal reliable transportation.

Location & Pay

Onsite in Davenport, IA, United States. Pay is USD 35 per hour.
