Desktop Support Engineer

Axiom Technologies is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer for an on-site, on-demand contract role in Miami, Florida. In this position, you will deliver first- and second-level technical support for end users in a desktop computing environment, while coordinating and managing service requests through triage, prioritization, and issue resolution.

This independent contractor opportunity starts immediately and supports onsite client needs as they arise. Assignments are shared by the Service Delivery Team, and engineers are contacted by phone or email with site location, SPOC details, and reporting time before each engagement.

What you’ll do

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support to end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
• Support network connectivity problems, including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting with console access when required.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Follow client IT policies and security procedures during onsite tasks.

What you bring

• Spanish proficiency is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
• Experience troubleshooting and replacing hardware.
• Basic understanding of networking, including LAN connectivity and switches and routers.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in an onsite support environment.
