Desktop Support Specialist

System One is hiring an onsite Desktop Support Specialist in Chicago, IL to support daily operations on a trading floor. You will act as the first line of contact for traders and VIP users, helping restore productivity by resolving desktop, device, application, printing, and network issues quickly and accurately, with escalation as needed.

This role is focused on hands-on troubleshooting and service delivery for Windows endpoints and market applications, including Bloomberg and Intex (or similar). You will also coordinate with internal teams when problems extend beyond standard desktop support, while maintaining visibility and follow-through through the tools used by the organization.

What you will do

• Provide trading floor operations support as the primary point of contact for traders and VIP users
• Support Windows desktops and laptops, including Bloomberg, Intex (or similar market apps), and Microsoft 365 and Office apps
• Troubleshoot PC hardware, printers, peripherals, and browser-related issues
• Investigate end user network problems and Zscaler client issues
• Manage and maintain devices using SCCM, Intune, or similar management tools
• Escalate incidents to network, infrastructure, and application teams when additional expertise is required
• Cover alternate shifts and handle planned or urgent weekend work based on operational needs

What you bring

• Actual experience providing trading floor operations support (examples include IT Helpdesk, Desktop Support Technician, IT Technician)
• Experience with Bloomberg, Intex, or similar market applications
• Experience with SCCM, Intune (or similar), Zscaler, ServiceNow, and Jira
• Ability to work onsite with shift coverage and weekend coverage as needed

Compensation and employment

• Salary: USD 100,000 - 150,000 per year
