Desktop Support Technician

Ovation Workplace Services is hiring an onsite Desktop Support Technician in Victoria, TX to deliver deskside, first-contact technical help for end users. You will support a wide range of devices and platforms, including Windows and Mac OS environments, while also stepping in for white glove level 2 support for identified onsite VIPs.

This full-time role offers $20.00 to $23.00 per hour and a benefits package designed to help you stay covered and plan ahead, including 401(k) matching, dental insurance, health insurance, vision insurance, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for end users seeking technical assistance across Desktop & Laptop hardware, Desktop/laptop software, and desktop/laptop network issues, as well as issues involving mobile devices and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot Windows and Mac OS platforms, including mobile devices running Apple iOS and Android mobile OS.
• Set up and configure end user equipment, including desktops, laptops, hardware, software, printers, mobile phones, and peripherals.
• Walk users through step-by-step instructions for application installation.
• Document and record incidents, service requests, and resolutions in the internal ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
• Help create technical documentation and manuals (KA) for known issues.
• Image and deploy laptops, desktops, and tablets to end users.
• Support asset management, including stock level checks, tracking, receiving, preparation, and shipment of assets.
• Coordinate office moves.
• Provide Level 2 technicians coverage for white glove onsite VIPs, including expedited troubleshooting, proactive support, proactive monitoring and health checks, targeted training on new tools for executive users, and a custom onboarding process for executives.

Requirements

• 3 years of Desktop support experience (required)
• 3 years of Active Directory experience (required)
• 3 years of computer hardware experience (required)
